The idea for my cookbook began when I discovered four little red notebooks that contained all of my mother's recipes. Some of the recipes are unique and to my knowledge are not found in any other Greek cookbook. Most of the recipes are my mother's. A certain number of recipes are indigenous to Corfu. Others are traditional Greek recipes and still others are my own. The book is comprised of approximately 160 recipes that are incorporated into a dozen categories beginning with appetizers and concluding with desserts. Throughout the book, I have included personal stories directly or indirectly related to the various categories. In essence, this cookbook is a tribute to my mother, Maria. She was the motivating force for encouraging me to explore the world of cooking.
